Are you a qualified BSL Level 3 professional looking to make a genuine difference in a school setting?

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide communication support for students with hearing impairments and additional learning needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young people, helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role

• Provide British Sign Language support within lessons and around the school environment.

• Support students with hearing impairments to access the curriculum.

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and specialist professionals.

• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement in learning.

• Adapt communication methods to meet individual student needs.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a BSL Level 3 qualification (essential).

• Has experience working with children or young people, either within education or a related setting.

• Is patient, compassionate and an excellent communicator.

• Can build positive relationships with students and staff.

• Is committed to helping every child succeed.
