Pink Tile Education are proud to be working with a high-achieving secondary school in Horsham who are seeking an engaging and confident Cover Supervisor to join their team from January 2026.
This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become temp-to-perm for the right person. The school is known for its warm, inclusive ethos and exceptional leadership — a place where staff are supported, students are respectful, and no two days are ever quite the same!
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be stepping into the classroom to deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the teacher. You’ll maintain a calm, positive environment for learning, manage behaviour effectively, and ensure students remain focused and on task. You’ll also gain valuable classroom experience across a range of subjects — ideal for someone considering a future in teaching or looking to take the next step in their school career.
Your day-to-day will include:
Supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absences
Delivering set work and ensuring learning continues smoothly
Supporting pupils with questions and keeping lessons on track
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Building strong relationships with staff and students alike

Requirements:
Minimum 3 months’ experience working in a UK school setting
DBS on the Update Service and up-to-date safeguarding training
Strong classroom presence and confident communication skills
Flexibility, reliability and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young people
Pay: £120 per day (term-time only)
