Cover Supervisor

A secondary school in Robertsbridge is seeking motivated and reliable Cover Supervisors to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment, assisting in the supervision of classes during teacher absence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Ensure students are engaged with the set work and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning and help address any issues that arise.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and classroom behaviour.
• Support the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.

Person Specification:

• Previous experience in a teaching or classroom support role is desirable.
• A current DBS certificate on the update service is essential.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• A proactive and flexible approach to work.
