A well-regarded secondary school in East Grinstead is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate, aspiring teacher, or experienced support staff member ready to step into a more active classroom role.
You’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the school by:
Delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring learning continues
Supporting students with their work and responding to questions
Maintaining a calm, focused, and respectful learning environment
You won’t be expected to plan or mark — your focus is on delivery, supervision, and presence in the classroom.
Perfect stepping stone for teacher training (many go on to ITT/QTS routes!)
Full-time, permanent position with great school-based support
Training and ongoing CPD provided by an experienced, welcoming team
Opportunity to work across different subjects and year groups
A degree or equivalent qualification
Strong presence and confidence in front of a class
