Cover Supervisor

Location: Hastings
Contract: Part-time or Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

We are working with a secondary school in Hastings who are seeking a strong Cover Supervisor to join their team on either a part-time or full-time basis.

This role would suit someone who is highly experienced in cover supervision or a qualified teacher looking for a flexible role, with excellent behaviour management skills and confidence leading a classroom.

The Role:

Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Supporting pupils to stay on task and engaged in their learning
Working across a range of year groups and subjects

The Ideal Candidate:

Must be one of the following:
- A highly experienced Cover Supervisor, or
- Hold QTS or a relevant teaching/education qualification
Strong behaviour management skills are essential
Confident, calm, and able to take control of a classroom
Previous secondary school experience preferred
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
