Salary: £120-145 per day

Are you a flexible and adaptable educator with a passion for supporting student learning in various subjects and grade levels? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy stepping in to provide instruction when needed? If so, we want you to join our team as a Cover Teacher.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide temporary instructional coverage for absent teachers across various subjects and grade levels.
  • Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by absent teachers to ensure continuity of instruction and student engagement.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and participating in activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to communicate student progress and any concerns to regular classroom teachers.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including attendance, lesson modifications, and student behavior incidents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
  • QTS
  • Experience working with students in educational settings, such as tutoring, teaching assistant roles, or substitute teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues quickly.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and enforce school policies consistently.
  • Willingness to take on short-notice assignments and travel to different classrooms within the school.
