Are you an enthusiastic and experienced teacher with a passion for Food Technology and Design Technology? St Leonards Academy is seeking a dedicated educator to join our vibrant department. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a creative and practical subject area.
This is a split role: approximately 70% Food Technology and 30% Design Technology.
Deliver creative, engaging lessons that inspire students and develop practical skills.
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment focused on achievement and personal growth.
Collaborate with department staff to develop resources and share best practices.
Experience is essential for this role. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.

This role is available on a full-time basis, though part-time may be considered for the right candidate (full-time is preferred).
Candidates with QTS will be paid on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), dependent on experience.
For those without QTS but with relevant experience, a competitive daily rate will be offered.
Strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in Food Technology and Design Technology.
Current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Completed Safeguarding Training (within the last two years).
Commitment to student progress and wellbeing.
