We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school in St Leonards. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students at KS3 and KS4, delivering high-quality lessons in Design Technology and Food Technology. What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but we welcome applications from unqualified teachers who have relevant experience.
• Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience teaching Design Technology and Food Technology at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential.
• Food Hygiene Certification:
  • Candidates must hold a current Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to obtain one (the school will cover the cost of certification).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Design Technology, including Food Technology, aligned with the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour, ensuring all students can thrive and reach their full potential.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Design Technology department.
