Early Years Educator | Help Children Learn, Grow & Thrive | Bexhill

Location: Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex
Role: Nursery Practitioner / Nursery Assistant
Contract: Regular Bank Staff (Part-Time or Full-Time Hours Available)
Start Date: September 2026

More than just a nursery shift — become someone children know and trust.

A friendly and nurturing nursery in Bexhill is looking for a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join their regular bank team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of Early Years work but wants more consistency than traditional supply. You’ll have the chance to return to the same setting, build strong relationships with children and staff, and become a valued member of the nursery community.

With flexible hours available and the potential for a permanent position, this role is ideal for someone looking to balance flexibility with long-term career opportunities.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Support children aged 0–5 with their learning, development and care.
  • Create engaging opportunities through play, exploration and creativity.
  • Help children develop confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Support daily routines including meals, personal care and outdoor activities.
  • Work alongside experienced Early Years professionals to provide outstanding care.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and stimulating nursery environment.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has previous experience working within a nursery, preschool or Early Years setting.
  • Has a genuine passion for helping young children learn and grow.
  • Is caring, reliable and adaptable.
  • Can quickly build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
  • Enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

A Level 3 Early Years qualification would be highly desirable, however, we welcome applications from experienced Nursery Assistants with a strong passion for Early Years.

What You’ll Receive

  • Regular shifts within a welcoming Bexhill nursery.
  • The flexibility to choose hours that work around you.
  • Part-time and full-time opportunities available.
  • Competitive weekly pay.
  • A dedicated Early Years consultant supporting you throughout.
  • The opportunity to transition into a permanent role.
  • The chance to work in a setting where your contribution is genuinely appreciated.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience within a nursery or Early Years environment.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two professional references.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and the EYFS framework.
