  • Have experience working with SEMH, SEND, behavioural needs, or vulnerable young people

  • Be confident managing challenging behaviour, including verbal dysregulation

  • Have a good understanding of mental health and trauma-informed practice

  • Be passionate about helping students rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning

  • Be adaptable, patient, and resilient

  • Be able to differentiate lessons to meet a range of needs and abilities

The school are also open to candidates with transferable experience from specialist settings, youth work, intervention provisions, mentoring, or therapeutic environments who are passionate about supporting vulnerable young people.

The Role:

  • Teaching English to secondary-aged students

  • Planning and delivering engaging and accessible lessons

  • Supporting students both academically and emotionally

  • Encouraging participation, confidence, and positive engagement within learning

  • Working closely with pastoral and therapeutic teams

  • Full-time role starting in September

  • Paid to scale depending on experience

  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact within a specialist setting

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive provision where staff are committed to helping young people overcome barriers and achieve success both academically and personally.
