Pink Tile Education are working in partnership with a specialist Provision in the Burgess Hill area, who are seeking a passionate and resilient English Teacher to join their team from September.
This provision supports pupils aged 5–16 who are unable to access mainstream education due to medical needs, behavioural challenges, social, emotional and mental health needs, or other barriers to learning. The school provides a highly supportive and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to rebuild confidence, regulate emotions, and re-engage with education.
The successful candidate will be teaching English across secondary age groups, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that support students with a wide range of abilities and learning needs. Many pupils may have experienced disrupted education or negative experiences within mainstream settings, so the school are looking for someone patient, adaptable, and relationship-focused.
This role requires someone who understands that behaviour is often communication and who can support students through a calm, consistent, and trauma-informed approach. Pupils may at times present with challenging behaviour, both verbally and physically, so resilience and strong behaviour management are essential.
