At Redhill School, we understand that these behaviors are often a response to unmet emotional needs and strive to provide the support and understanding they require. Our goal is to help students develop coping strategies, build positive relationships, and achieve their full potential.

Role and Responsibilities: As an English Tutor, you will:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH students.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors and promote positive interactions.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to support students’ emotional and academic development.
• Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching methods as needed.

• Patience and Resilience: The capacity to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.

• Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Consistency and Structure: Providing a stable and predictable learning environment.
• Passion for Continuous Learning: Commitment to professional development and staying updated on best practices in SEMH education 

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in English or Education.
• Experience working with SEMH or SEND students is highly desirable.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
