Exam Invigilator – Alternative Provision / PRU
Bexhill and surrounding areas
Competitive hourly rate £14.25 | Weekly pay

We are currently recruiting Exam Invigilators to support students within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) / Alternative Provision setting during exam periods. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who may need additional support, patience, and understanding to succeed.

The Role:
You will play a key role in ensuring exams run smoothly while creating a calm, supportive, and structured environment. Many students may have experienced barriers to mainstream education, so your presence and approach will be essential in helping them feel settled and able to engage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising students during exams in line with regulations
  • Maintaining a calm, controlled, and supportive environment
  • Building positive rapport while upholding exam conditions
  • Managing low-level behaviours confidently and professionally
  • Distributing and collecting exam materials
  • Reporting any issues or irregularities

What We’re Looking For:

  • Calm, patient, and resilient individuals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with young people
  • Confident managing behaviour and maintaining boundaries
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach
  • A genuine interest in supporting young people in alternative settings

Experience:
Experience working with children or in education, SEND, PRU, or youth settings is a strong advantage, but not essential. The right attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are just as important.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible working to suit your availability
  • Weekly pay
  • Paid online training (approx. 1 hour) before your first assignment
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
  • Opportunity to gain valuable experience in alternative education settings

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Two references

If you are patient, proactive, and want to make a real difference supporting young people in a PRU environment, we would love to hear from you.

Apply now or get in touch to find out more.

*Important Notice: To successfully apply for the above
position, you should be eligible to work in the UK or hold a relevant work
visa. Safeguarding, quality and integrity are at the heart of what we do. Pink
Tile is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
within education. During the application process, you will be required to:

  • Provide details for us
to complete reference checks before employment.
  • Provide an Enhanced DBS
on the update service or be willing to obtain one (which Pink Tile can
    assist with).

share the view of “Best Fit, Every Time” and our role is to ensure
that every candidate we place has a positive impact on the team of their new
employers. Please note the pay is inclusive of the 12.07% PAYE holiday.

We have a policy, as a matter of courtesy, to respond to
all applications within three working days. However, because of the volume of
applications, we sometimes cannot reply to individual enquiries. If we have not
contacted you within this specified time, your application may have been
unsuccessful on this specific occasion, but we encourage you to apply for
positions that you may see in the future. Alternatively, please check missed
calls and all your email folders as it may have been that we have tried to
reach you. Thank you.*
