The ideal candidate will have:

  • Practical experience working with food.

  • A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

  • Experience teaching or supporting students in a classroom environment.

  • A commitment to helping students build confidence and practical skills in Food Technology.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the school curriculum.

  • Demonstrate practical skills and techniques safely and effectively to students.

  • Supervise students during practical sessions, ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained.

  • Support students in developing their knowledge of nutrition, food preparation, and cooking processes.

  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills and confidence.

  • Maintain equipment and resources, ensuring a safe and well-organised teaching environment.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans, share best practices, and support departmental initiatives.

  • Contribute to assessment and reporting of student progress.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
