A rewarding opportunity is available to deliver a life-changing, hands-on Health & Social Care course this summer, supporting adults taking their first steps into the care sector and further education.

We are a local training provider running a 6-week, intensive Level 2 Health & Social Care programme aimed at unemployed adults—many referred through Job Centres. The course is part of a fast-paced, government-backed initiative focused on employability and education pathways.

Key Details:

  • Start date: Tuesday, 8th July 2025

  • End date: Wednesday, 14th August 2025

  • Schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 6 hours per day

  • Location: Local training centre (details on enquiry)

  • Course level: Health & Social Care – Level 2 Certificate

  • Learners: 12–15 adult learners, entry level

The Role:

You will deliver a structured and supportive learning experience to entry-level adult learners, helping them build foundational knowledge in the care sector. Many learners will be progressing into further study or employment in health and social care. Your role will be key in helping them gain the confidence and skills to succeed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in Health & Social Care – through teaching, training, or hands-on sector work

  • Confident delivering to adult learners, particularly those at entry level or with barriers to education

  • Passionate, engaging, and supportive in your approach to learning

  • Comfortable working with pre-planned materials and adapting delivery to suit learner needs

  • Understanding of progression pathways into employment and further education

  • Teaching experience is desirable, but sector experience with a strong interest in education is equally valued

  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is required

Ideal Candidates:

  • Qualified Health & Social Care teachers

  • Industry professionals (Level 2 or higher) interested in training others

  • Adult education tutors experienced in delivering employability or access to education programmes
