Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for flexible work in education? We are seeking skilled HLTAs to work across welcoming schools in Brighton & Hove.

The Role
As an HLTA, you will:
- Support teachers with engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Lead whole-class, small-group and one-to-one activities.
- Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs.
- Take responsibility for learning activities when required.
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Help manage positive classroom behaviour and maintain a supportive environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups and pupil needs.
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
About You
We are looking for HLTAs who are:
- Experienced in an HLTA, TA, LSA or similar role.
- Passionate about supporting children and young people.
- Confident leading learning activities and managing classrooms.
- Reliable, adaptable and able to use initiative.
- Patient, enthusiastic and committed to pupil development.
- Available for flexible work across Brighton & Hove.
