Day Rate: £140 per day
We are seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive specialist SEND school in Burgess Hill. This is a long-term, full-time role working with students who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including autism (ASC), communication difficulties, and complex learning needs.
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, leading small group sessions, delivering pre-planned lessons when required, and providing targeted interventions. You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils make progress both academically and socially, in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
• HLTA qualification or significant, relevant classroom experience
• Strong background in SEND or specialist education
• Confident delivering small group work and occasional whole-class teaching
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
• Patient, adaptable and child-centred approach
• Full-time, long-term position (Monday–Friday)
