Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team from September 2024. This role is perfect for individuals who possess a deep understanding of the school curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers, delivering pre-planned lessons, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist classroom teachers in delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
  • Ensure students remain engaged with their work and assist where necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
  • Uphold the school’s behavior policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support student learning and development.
  • Maintain up-to-date safeguarding practices.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the school curriculum is essential.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting preferred.
  • Must have a current DBS on the update service.
  • Must have up-to-date safeguarding training.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students at all levels.

Remuneration:

  • Pay rate: £105 per day
