A brand-new specialist school opening in Esher is looking for confident and experienced education professionals to join its founding team. We’re keen to hear from HLTAs, experienced Teaching Assistants and Unqualified Teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.

The school will support pupils aged 7–17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), providing a structured, nurturing environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.

The Role

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide classroom cover when required.
• Support pupils across Key Stages on a 1:1, small-group and whole-class basis.
• Work alongside teaching staff to adapt learning and meet individual needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop confidence and resilience.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as an HLTA, experienced Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher.
• Confident leading learning and managing groups of pupils independently.
• Experience within SEND, SEMH or alternative provision is advantageous.
• A proactive, adaptable and resilient approach.
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
