HR MANAGER NEEDED in a Local Primary School – Worthing

Our client is looking for a Human Resources professional to manage the day-to-day HR of a busy and vibrant Primary School. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with HR experience within a school environment to develop further or for a qualified HR professional to make their mark.

Salary: 
NJC Grade -8 (actual pay – £28427.40-30882.60) Pay review pending.
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Working Pattern: 37 hrs a week, Term Time plus Inset and 2 weeks holiday working.

Location: Worthing

What You Need to Succeed

You will oversee the daily cover in response to daily staff absence and manage the staff absence procedure, ensuring all absence is recorded, monitored, and reported. Following up absence calls daily and undertaking informal absence meetings and return to work interviews.

Your effective communication and interpersonal skills are required to build effective working relationships with supply agencies, senior stakeholders and school staff alike.

Managing the recruitment process you will have an eye for detail ensuring all aspects of safer recruitment are followed. Ensuring all staff undertake and complete their induction training and that the probations period is monitored effectively.

You will have excellent IT skills with experience of working on Management information systems and databases such as Bromcom.

Excellent literacy skills are essential. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, be extremely well organised and must be able to maintain accurate records both electronically and in paper format.

You will work term time plus inset days and 2 weeks during the summer holiday period.

Working knowledge and understanding of employment law would be of benefit in this role.
