Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are looking for a dedicated Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to join a supportive school in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional or someone looking to develop a rewarding career supporting children and young people with additional needs.
As an Individual Needs Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to pupils who require additional help to access learning and fully participate in school life.
You may be supporting pupils with a range of needs, including:
Autism
Challenging behaviour
Learning difficulties
Social, emotional and behavioural needs
Additional learning needs
You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils access their learning, develop confidence and independence, manage challenges and build positive relationships.
The successful candidate will be:
Experienced working with children or young people with SEND
Calm, patient and non-judgemental
Confident supporting children with challenging behaviour
Understanding and compassionate
Reliable and committed
A good communicator and team player
Willing to learn and develop new skills
Passionate about making a positive difference to children’s lives
Previous SEND experience is highly desirable, particularly experience with autism, challenging behaviour or learning difficulties.
However, we are also keen to hear from candidates who have the right attitude and a genuine interest in developing a career within SEND and education. Training and professional development opportunities will be available.
£100 – £120 per day
Full-time, Monday to Friday
8:30am – 3:30pm
