Individual Needs Assistant – Mainstream Secondary School

Start: ASAP

A mainstream secondary school is seeking an experienced and dedicated Individual Needs Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This role involves supporting students with additional or individual learning needs and may include 1:1 support, small group work, and classroom-based support, depending on pupil requirements.

The role:

  • Providing tailored support to students with individual needs
  • Working 1:1, in small groups, or within the classroom
  • Supporting engagement, learning and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with class teachers and SEN staff to support pupil progress

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with children, ideally with additional or individual needs
  • Be calm, patient and confident in a school environment
  • Have good behaviour management and communication skills
  • Be reliable, committed and nurturing in their approach

This role is well suited to individuals with experience in education, SEN support, youth work or care, who are looking for an immediate opportunity in a secondary school setting.

Start date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time (part-time may be considered depending on availability)
