A high-performing secondary school in Crawley is looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Intervention Specialist to support their KS3 and KS4 learners from September 2025. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on helping pupils bridge gaps in knowledge and develop confidence in the classroom.
You’ll be responsible for delivering structured intervention programmes across core subjects – typically Maths and English – to students who require additional support due to missed learning, SEND needs, or lack of confidence.
Working closely with subject teachers, the SENCO, and the pastoral team, you’ll help ensure students stay on track academically and emotionally. You’ll also contribute to tracking outcomes and feeding into wider support strategies.
This role would suit:
A graduate with experience working with young people
A teaching assistant looking to step into a more focused academic role
A tutor seeking school-based experience
An ex-teacher looking for a flexible but meaningful position
You’ll be joining a school that values teamwork, inclusive practice, and restorative behaviour approaches — a brilliant environment to make a real impact.
