About the Role

Do you have the skills and passion to help students unlock their potential? We are seeking a dynamic Intervention Specialist Practitioner to deliver targeted support in literacy, numeracy, phonics, and reading within a specialist SEMH setting.

This is a unique opportunity to work with pupils aged 11–16 who face barriers to learning due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Autism, ADHD, and associated challenges. Your role will be pivotal in helping them build confidence, close gaps, and achieve success.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deliver high-impact interventions in literacy, numeracy, phonics, and reading.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups to accelerate progress and boost confidence.
• Use creative, engaging strategies to make learning accessible and enjoyable.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to ensure joined-up support.
• Track progress and adapt interventions to meet individual EHCP targets.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions (school or specialist setting).
• Knowledge of phonics and reading strategies.
• Resilience, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
