This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by providing targeted, one-to-one or small group tuition for students across a range of subjects, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive academically.

About the Role:
As an Intervention Tutor, you will work closely with students who require additional academic support, delivering tailored lessons that focus on improving knowledge, skills, and confidence in key subjects. You will collaborate with teaching staff to identify learning gaps and help students catch up, improve, and excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one and small group intervention sessions across various subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.

  • Work with students of varying abilities, providing additional support to ensure they meet their academic goals.

  • Assess and track student progress, adapting lessons to suit individual learning needs.

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure that interventions align with the wider curriculum.

  • Encourage and motivate students, building their confidence and fostering a positive learning environment.

  • Provide feedback to both students and teachers on progress and areas for improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is preferred, but candidates without QTS but with relevant experience are welcome to apply.

  • Experience delivering intervention or tuition, particularly in a school or educational setting, is highly desirable.

  • Strong subject knowledge, particularly in core subjects such as English, Maths, or Science.

  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students at different levels of ability.

  • A patient, supportive approach to working with young people and a passion for helping them succeed.

This role is perfect for those who are passionate about education and helping students overcome challenges to achieve their full potential. Whether you have QTS or not, if you have experience and a commitment to making a difference, we want to hear from you!
