Eastbourne Secondary School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team on a full-time, temporary basis from September 2024. This role is crucial in providing targeted support to our students across all year groups, ensuring they receive the guidance they need to succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with class teachers to support students’ learning in both 1:1 settings and small groups.
• Demonstrate initiative and understanding in tailoring support to meet individual pupil needs.
• Create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
• Assist in planning and delivering activities that promote both educational and personal development.

Requirements:

• Must have a DBS on the update service.
• A minimum of 6 weeks of UK school-based experience is required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A proactive, supportive, and empathetic approach to mentoring students.
