💷 £100 – £110 per day | Full-time | Monday–Friday | Temp to Perm
Are you passionate about supporting young people and looking for a rewarding role in a specialist SEMH setting?
A fantastic special school near Chichester is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team, supporting boys aged 7–16 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, attachment difficulties, anxiety, speech and language needs and challenging behaviour.
You’ll work closely with pupils to provide consistent, supportive and encouraging guidance throughout the school day. The role involves helping students manage their emotions, develop positive relationships, build confidence and engage with their learning.
The school has extensive grounds and places a real emphasis on outdoor learning, physical activity and sports, so this would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being outdoors and getting involved beyond the classroom.
We’re particularly interested in people who have:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour
A calm, patient and resilient approach
A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
An interest in sports, outdoor activities or practical learning
The confidence to build positive relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
A willingness to get involved in school life and activities outside the classroom
🚗 A full driving licence and access to a car is essential, as the school is not accessible by public transport.
Fantastic specialist school with excellent facilities and extensive grounds
Supportive and experienced staff team
Opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people’s lives
Great environment for someone who enjoys sports, outdoor learning and practical activities
Temp-to-perm opportunity, providing a pathway to a permanent position
If you’re looking for a role where no two days are the same and you can build meaningful relationships with young people while helping them develop their confidence and independence, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
