Teaching Assistant – SEMH Specialist School – Woking

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you thrive in a nurturing, structured environment where every day brings a new opportunity to make a difference?

We are a specialist school in Woking for pupils aged 11–17, and we’re looking for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team full-time.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
  • Confidence supporting learning in and out of the classroom
  • A team player who’s proactive and adaptable

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour support
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Working closely with the wider team to support emotional regulation and social development
