About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in the Bromley area. This full-time position is available for an immediate start and offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with additional learning and behavioural needs.

The successful candidate will provide both 1:1 support and small group intervention, helping students engage with learning, develop social skills, and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to students with additional needs.
• Deliver targeted support to small groups of pupils.
• Assist teachers in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with their social, emotional, and educational development.
• Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
• Build strong, positive relationships with students and staff.
• Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.

Requirements

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH, ASD, or challenging behaviour is desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations effectively.
• A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Pay & Holiday Pay

The advertised daily rate is inclusive of 12.07% PAYE holiday pay.
