As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to support students with a range of learning needs, both in and out of the classroom. You’ll help build confidence, encourage independence, and create a nurturing space for pupils to progress socially and academically.
Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs
Help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment
Support students’ emotional wellbeing and behaviour management
Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to deliver personalised strategies
Monitor and record student progress
A caring and proactive approach to supporting young people
Previous experience working with children or young adults (school or youth work preferred)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education
A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
