The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to support students with a range of learning needs, both in and out of the classroom. You’ll help build confidence, encourage independence, and create a nurturing space for pupils to progress socially and academically.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs

  • Help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment

  • Support students’ emotional wellbeing and behaviour management

  • Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to deliver personalised strategies

  • Monitor and record student progress

What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring and proactive approach to supporting young people

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults (school or youth work preferred)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education

  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
