We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Littlehampton, supporting boys with complex needs. This full-time position is ideal for someone with a strong background in SEND and SEMH, particularly in managing dysregulated behaviour and implementing de-escalation strategies.
Support students in both classroom and therapeutic environments
Use de-escalation and proactive behaviour management strategies
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Promote independence, engagement, and emotional regulation
Assist with daily routines and learning activities
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH/SEND needs
Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm, active, and supportive way
Physically and emotionally resilient
Able to work effectively in a team of like-minded, high-energy staff
Available full-time from September
