Learning Support Assistant – Brighton & Surrounding Areas (Flexible & Ongoing Opportunities)
Secondary schools across Brighton and the surrounding areas are seeking supportive, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals to work as Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). This is a great opportunity for those passionate about helping young people succeed in the classroom and beyond.
A variety of flexible roles are available, including day-to-day supply, short-term cover, and long-term placements, working with students across a range of subjects and year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with additional needs.
Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
Support the academic, emotional, and social development of pupils.
Help create an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Follow school policies and uphold safeguarding at all times.
Requirements:
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
Strong communication skills and a patient, adaptable attitude.
Must hold a valid DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.
Safeguarding training is essential (or must be completed before starting).
Experience working with children or in a school setting is helpful but not essential.
