Learning Support Assistant – Eastbourne & Surrounding Areas (Flexible & Ongoing Opportunities)
Secondary schools across Eastbourne and the surrounding areas are looking for supportive, patient, and enthusiastic individuals to work as Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are passionate about helping young people thrive in an educational setting.
There are a range of flexible opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, short-term, and long-term roles, working with students across different subjects and key stages.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs.
Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development.
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Adapt to different school settings while following safeguarding and behaviour policies.
Requirements:
A strong interest in education and supporting young people.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Must hold a valid DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.
Safeguarding training is essential (or must be completed before starting).
Experience in schools or working with children/young people is beneficial but not essential.

Flexible work available: day-to-day, short-term, and long-term
Full-time and part-time options depending on your availability
Term-time only
