Are you a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with BSL Level 3 qualification looking to make a meaningful difference in a young person’s educational journey?

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive specialist educational setting seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support to students with hearing impairments and additional learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team that is focused on helping every learner reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Provide classroom-based support to students using British Sign Language (BSL).
  • Assist learners in accessing lessons and engaging fully in school life.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised support.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning outcomes.
  • Support students both academically and socially throughout the school day.
  • Help create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

About You

  • Hold a BSL Level 3 qualification (essential).
  • Have experience supporting children or young people in an educational, care, or support setting.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and committed to making a positive impact.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to build strong, professional relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Have a proactive and flexible approach to supporting learners.
