A friendly and community-focused primary school near central Brighton is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to support children across EYFS and Key Stage 1.

The role will involve working with a range of learners, including children requiring additional support with speech and language, social development, and early literacy skills. No two days will be the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and building positive relationships with young learners.

The school promotes a creative curriculum and places great emphasis on learning through exploration, communication, and play.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting children in class and during small-group activities
• Assisting with phonics, reading, and early maths interventions
• Encouraging pupil engagement and confidence
• Supporting children with additional learning needs
• Helping create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with primary-aged children
