About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join a supportive educational setting in Littlehampton. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people by helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of learning needs, including additional learning needs and social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-class support to pupils, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies
  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development

About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Patient, caring, and committed to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
  • Strong communicators and team players
  • Adaptable and proactive in responding to pupil needs
  • Enthusiastic about education and making a positive impact
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
