  • Monday: 8:30am–5:00pm

  • Tuesday–Friday: 8:30am–4:00pm
    Requirement: Driver essential due to rural school location

We are currently recruiting a calm, patient, and supportive Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school supporting primary years in the Horsham area. This full-time, temporary role involves supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs within a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning. You will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff, providing consistent, individualised support and adapting your approach to meet each student’s emotional, behavioural, and learning needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH or challenging behaviour

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills

  • Confidence supporting pupils within the classroom

  • A proactive, resilient, and compassionate attitude

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
