About Us: We are a specialised SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school dedicated to providing tailored support to children with challenging behaviours and those on the autism spectrum. Our school consists of three small classes, each with only five students, ensuring a focused and supportive learning environment.

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team for a short-term position. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviors and those on the autism spectrum. Dbs on the update service required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualised support to students in a classroom setting.
• Assist with the implementation of personalised learning plans.
• Manage and respond to challenging behaviours in a constructive manner.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support student progress.

Requirements:

• Experience working with SEMH students and/or children on the autism spectrum is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development are a plus.
