Level 3 Teaching Assistant – EYFS/Nursery

Contract: Full-Time, 48 Weeks per Year

About the Role
Independent Prep School is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team from June 2026. This is a full-time position supporting children within our EYFS and Nursery setting, playing a key role in fostering a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within the EYFS/Nursery setting
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging, play-based activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Provide individual and small group support to promote children’s development and school readiness
  • Support children’s social, emotional and behavioural development
  • Contribute to observations, assessments and record-keeping
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing and well-organised learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (essential)
  • Proven experience working within an EYFS or Nursery setting
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • A warm, patient and proactive approach to supporting young children
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for early years education
  • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
