We are currently looking for a LSA Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Bexley area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
The successful candidate will primarily support pupils with Autism (ASD) and challenging behaviour, providing both 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day.
As an LSA Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with SEND.
Support pupils with Autism (ASD) and challenging behaviour.
Work with pupils in small groups to support learning and development.
Help pupils access the curriculum and remain engaged in lessons.
Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
Work closely with teachers and other members of the support team.
Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
Help maintain a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:
Experienced working with children or young people with SEND/ASD.
Confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
Patient, calm and resilient.
Able to build strong relationships with pupils.
Comfortable providing both 1:1 and small group support.
Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
Reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Behaviour Support Worker or similar is highly desirable.
