About the Role:

  • Work closely with teachers, the Inclusion Coordinator (INCO), and other professionals to identify pupils needing Maths interventions.
  • Develop and implement tailored action plans to support individual learning needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and families to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Provide regular feedback to staff and parents on pupil progress and recommend further support where needed.
  • Participate in assessments, training, and networking to share best practice and enhance your professional development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in teaching assistance or relevant experience in primary education.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary Maths curriculum and understanding of barriers to learning such as dyscalculia or maths anxiety.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a primary school setting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external agencies.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development.
