Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?
We are working with a fantastic SEMH school in the Haywards Heath area that is seeking a dedicated and resilient Maths Teacher to join their team from September.
This specialist setting supports students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have experienced challenges in mainstream education. The school is committed to helping pupils rebuild confidence, engage positively with learning, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
As a Maths Teacher, you will:
Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of individual learners.
Support students who may present with SEMH needs, anxiety, trauma, or behavioural challenges.
Build positive relationships that encourage engagement and academic progress.
Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders.
Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Has strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
Has experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, or additional needs, or a genuine interest in specialist education.
Is confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
Is resilient, patient, and able to build strong relationships with young people.
Has high expectations and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
