We are currently recruiting for a Media & Music Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in West Drayton, supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and engaging teacher who can inspire pupils through music, media, and practical learning while helping them build confidence, self-expression, and resilience. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, although experienced unqualified teachers with relevant SEMH experience will also be considered.

The Role:

• Planning and delivering engaging Media and Music lessons to pupils with SEMH needs
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Using creative approaches to encourage engagement, confidence, and self-expression
• Adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing
• Working collaboratively with the wider teaching, pastoral, and therapeutic teams
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to reviews and reports

The Ideal Candidate:

• QTS is preferred
• Experience teaching Media, Music, or a combination of creative subjects at secondary level
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, resilient approach
• Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
