Nursery Assistant | Join a Nursery That You’ll Love Returning To | Bexhill

Location: Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex
Role: Nursery Assistant
Contract: Regular Bank Staff (Part-Time or Full-Time, Flexible Hours)
Start Date: September 2026

Looking for flexibility without feeling like “just another supply member of staff”?

A friendly and well-established nursery in Bexhill is looking to grow its trusted bank of Nursery Assistants.

Unlike ad-hoc supply work, this role offers the opportunity to become a familiar face within one welcoming nursery. You’ll build meaningful relationships with children and colleagues, enjoy regular shifts, and have the opportunity to progress into a permanent position if that’s something you’re looking for.

Whether you’re looking for two days a week or full-time hours, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you will:

  • Support children aged 0–5 through play-based learning and daily routines.
  • Help create a safe, caring and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
  • Work alongside experienced Early Years practitioners to deliver engaging activities.
  • Encourage children’s confidence, curiosity and independence.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Support children’s wellbeing and development throughout the day.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.
  • Has a caring, enthusiastic and patient approach.
  • Enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
  • Is reliable, adaptable and passionate about Early Years education.

A Level 3 Early Years qualification is highly desirable, but we also welcome applications from experienced Nursery Assistants without the qualification.

What You’ll Receive

  • Regular work within the same welcoming nursery.
  • Flexible part-time or full-time hours to suit your lifestyle.
  • Competitive weekly pay.
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated Early Years consultant.
  • The opportunity to secure a permanent position in the future.
  • A nursery where you’ll feel like part of the team from day one.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous nursery or Early Years experience.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two professional references.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and the EYFS framework.

The children won’t remember who covered a shift—they’ll remember who made them smile.

If you’re looking for regular nursery work where you’ll be welcomed, valued and given the opportunity to grow your career, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and discover a nursery where every day is rewarding, every child is unique, and every member of staff is appreciated.

Pink Tile Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, references and safer recruitment procedures.
