We are currently recruiting for an experienced Nursery Assistant to join a friendly and welcoming nursery near Horsham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the 6 months to 2 years room, supporting babies and young children through the earliest stages of their development.

Due to the location of the nursery, a driver with access to a vehicle is essential.

The Role

• Support the daily care, learning and development of children aged 6 months to 2 years
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
• Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 Qualification in Early Years Childcare
• Previous experience working with babies and toddlers
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle essential
