Nurture Teacher (QTS Required) – SEMH School – West Drayton

We are currently recruiting a qualified Nurture Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in West Drayton from September.

This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs within a nurturing and therapeutic learning environment. You will work closely with the wider pastoral and teaching teams to support pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support to engage successfully with education.

The role will include:

  • Planning and delivering tailored lessons and interventions to meet pupils’ individual needs.
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development.
  • Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, families, and external agencies.
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies and contributing to individual support plans.
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress and wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviours.
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
  • A good understanding of trauma-informed and nurturing approaches to education.
  • The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Training and ongoing support will be provided.
