A well-regarded secondary school in the Angmering area is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible PE & Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2025. This is a unique opportunity for a PE specialist who also enjoys working in a broader classroom capacity, supporting learning across different subjects when required.
This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with experience in PE instruction, coaching, or teaching assistant work who is also confident managing classrooms as a cover supervisor. You’ll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team, working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and support PE lessons across year groups
Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring learning continues
Work with the PE department to support fixtures, clubs, and extracurricular activities
Promote positive behaviour and active participation in all lessons
You will need to have:
Experience working with young people in an educational or coaching setting
Strong communication and organisational skills
A positive, proactive approach to supporting learning
A DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Up-to-date safeguarding training
