PE Teaching Assistant – Littlehampton, West Sussex – Full-time.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PE Specific Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school located near Littlehampton, West Sussex. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about working with young people who have social, emotional, and mental health needs as well as physical education.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with young people who can display challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will need to be resilient, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure. You will also work with the PE Teacher to assist delivering the national curriculum of PE, with the responsibility of setting up drills, games and activities too.

The role is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8:20 – 16:15 Monday & Tuesday, 8:20 am to 15:20 Wednesday to Friday. This is a rolling, temporary position that will turn permanent for the right candidate.

You will play an important role in supporting them to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially. The role pays £79 per day.

The successful candidate will need to have passed GCSEs in both English and Maths, with a good background of sport/PE. A degree in the field of sports would be advantageous.
