About the Role

We are currently recruiting Primary School Teaching Assistant to support primary school within Brighton & Hove on both a daily supply or long-term basis.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking flexibility, variety, or the opportunity to secure consistent, long-term work within a school setting. Whether you’re looking for ad-hoc days to fit around your schedule or a longer-term placement to build experience, we have opportunities to suit your needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 on a supply basis
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and follow school policies
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Carry out general TA duties, including preparation of resources and supervision

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children (school-based experience is desirable)
  • Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and year groups
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
  • Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting SEND (e.g., autism, ADHD, SEMH needs)
  • Prior experience working in UK primary schools
