Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Temporary Primary Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Special Educational Needs (SEN), Primary Teaching, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, or have experience as a Supply Primary Teacher. Role Description

As a Temporary Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons to primary school children. You will work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure that all pupils receive an outstanding education. The role requires a passionate educator who can create a positive and inclusive learning environment, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school policies
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils
  • Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages all pupils to achieve their full potential
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of all students, including those with SEN
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupils’ learning and well-being
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupils’ progress and achievement
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies in line with school policies
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extra-curricular activities and events
  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and current educational practices
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with various assessment methods and strategies
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
