We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Eastbourne area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children during a key stage of their educational journey, helping them build confidence, develop core skills, and achieve their full potential.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will provide classroom support, deliver small group interventions, and offer 1:1 assistance where required. The successful candidate will be proactive, positive, and committed to creating an engaging learning environment for pupils.

The Role

• Support teaching and learning within a KS1 classroom
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities
• Provide targeted 1:1 support to pupils who require additional guidance
• Lead and support small group learning interventions
• Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Help prepare learning resources and classroom activities
• Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
• Assist with lunchtime supervision and pupil welfare
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
